Public Safety Commission

The Public Safety Commission has been established by the City Council as an advisory commission to the City Council in matters concerning the Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services Departments of the City of Harker Heights.

They entertain issues and subjects requested by the City Council, City Manager, Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, citizens of Harker Heights, and members of the Commission that pertain to the provision of Public Safety within the City.

The Public Safety Commission also chooses the Firefighter of the Year and the Police Officer of the Year.
