Firefighter/Paramedic

Qualifications:

Certification or License as a Paramedic by Texas Department of State Health Services
Certification as Basic Firefighter or higher by Texas Commission on Fire Protection
ITLS or PHTLS Certification (or department equivalent)
ACLS Certification (or department equivalent)
TX Class B Driver License or higher
Meet all Harker Heights Fire Department Medical Director requirements
All above listed certification and licenses are required to be maintained

Conditions of Employment:
Applicants must satisfactorily complete each step in the hiring process to include:
1. Written exam
2. Physical agility test
3. Background investigation check
4. Driving history background check
5. Test for controlled substance
6. Psychological exam
7. Physical exam
