REGISTRATION

September 2, 2024 – October 16, 2024 (or until Division reaches max participation numbers 60 per Div) *after that can only be put on the waitlist, if slots become open waitlist will be used for first come basis.

DIVISIONS (Age as of September 1, 2024)

• 8U: 6 – 8 years old (60 participants) needs minimum of 6 head coaches
• 10U: 9 – 10 years old (60 participants) needs minimum of 6 head coaches
• 12U: 11 – 12 years old (60 participants) needs minimum of 6 head coaches

LOCATION

• All practices and games will be played at Harker Heights Recreation Center

SEASON

• Dates of Practice begins the week of 12 Nov 2024. Not all teams will start practice on the same day. Practices will be held two days a week before games start and one day a week when games begin. When a coach reaches out to you, they will let you know what days and times your player has practice.
• 8U – only Mondays and Saturdays
• 10U- only Thursdays and Saturdays
• 12U- only Tuesday and Fridays

LEAGUE FORMAT

• All age divisions will play an 8-game season.
• 10U and 12U teams will have assessments and will be drafted.

UNIFORM

• Team shirts will be provided for all participants.
• Players MUST wear shorts WITHOUT pockets and NON-marking shoes.
• Coaches will receive a coach shirt.
• Please double check your child’s shirt size when registering – there will be NO reorders.

SPECIAL REQUEST

• Please indicate during registration if you want siblings to play together who are in the same age division.
• Requests cannot be guaranteed in the 8U division.
• Head Coaches will have their own child on their team and all other players will be drafted by the head coaches in the 10U & 12U divisions.

PLAYER ABILITY ASSESSMENTS FOR 10U and 12U

The Player Ability Assessment (PAA) is not tryouts, and because we are a recreational sports department where all participants will play if they register. It is an evaluation process where the players will have their skills assessed by the coaches to help with the draft process. It will be about one hour long where the players will go through multiple stations and be evaluated on their performance doing routine drills. The PAA isn’t a mandatory event, but it is highly encouraged to help create balanced and competitive teams. If participants are not able to make the Player Ability Assessment Clinic, they will randomly be selected to a team.

• 10U – Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Harker Heights Recreation Center

              o    Last names A-L at 9:00 AM

              o    Last names M-Z at 10:30 AM

• 12U – Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Harker Heights Recreation Center

              o    Last names A-L at 12:00 AM

              o    Last names M-Z at 1:30 PM

• If you do not attend, your child will still be able to participate but will be randomly selected to be on a team.

COACHING

• Fill out Coach/Assistant Coach packet and turn in at Recreation Center as soon as possible for further processing. All coaches will have a copy made of their Driver’s License and be background checked.
• Head Coaches will receive their child(ren) automatically.

COACHES MEETING FOR 8U DIVISION

• Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Harker Heights Recreation Center

COACHES MEETING AND DRAFT FOR 10U and 12U DIVISIONS

• 10U - Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Harker Heights Recreation Center
• 12U - Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Harker Heights Recreation Center 

FULL SEASON DATES

• 12 Nov-20 Dec 2024 (optional practices 25-27 Nov) practices and games will resume 2-20 Dec 2024; (optional practices; 23 & 30 Dec; 2-4 Jan) practices will resume 6-11 Jan 2025 and the remainder of the season games will be scheduled 13 Jan 2025 until the rest of 8 games and then the playoff schedule will be completed.
