City Commissions and Boards
The City has numerous boards and commissions that citizens can volunteer for. The City Council appoints volunteers to these boards and commissions as openings become available. Some of these boards and commissions include:
To volunteer for a board or commission you may print and complete the following form: Board/Commission Volunteer Form. Please submit the form to the City’s Administration Department at City Hall, 305 Miller’s Crossing, Harker Heights, Texas. You may also come by the City’s Administration Department at 305 Miller’s Crossing, Harker Heights, Texas, and pick up a hard copy of the form.
There are a limited number of slots on these boards/commissions that are available each year. There may be other ways to serve these boards and commissions than as a full voting member. The Library Board for instance, is always promoting special library events that volunteers are needed for.
